Challenge

Writing a long thesis is hard, but it is even harder to summarize 120 pages of writing and two years of hard work within 45 minutes (Without making the jury members sleep! )
Approach

I wanted to make sure that all the jury members would easily be able to;

1) Follow the progress
2) Relate to the content

Solution

Creating fixed sections and elements helped me to tell the story within a dynamic visual structure: I divided the page with a grid, prepared a table of contents icon, a timeline indicator and iconic visual references to the subject.
Solution

Here are the sections I created for a flawless presentation

1) Table of Contents Icon
A simple, informative icon symbolizing table of contents that showed hierarchy and progress over topics

2) Vertical Timeline
A visual indicator of slide numbers that showed situation and progress over duration

3) Layout Grid
A common structure of pages that created a coherent visual system throughout different pages

4) Visual Symbols
Iconic elements referring to certain subjects that related the subject matter to narrative references
As a bonus, I handed a booklet of the Keynote speech to the audience, for easier follow-up. I arranged the presentation cross-platform as a fit to both digital and printed materials.

This was all it took to have a great thesis defense.
